The City

I haven't been posting any pictures up lately and it makes me sad.

I've been so busy working crazy hours for the past few weeks, still trying to catch up with money we spent in Jamaica. When i get home all i want to do is relax so i haven't been taking my camera out as much as usual, but I'm going to change that as soon as possible.

These are a couple pictures i took in Boston while visiting my brother. Hope you like them!

I also have to work on updating the pictures page in my blog. I've been using my boyfriends laptop since the charger for mine died, but we just got a new one so there will be plenty of updates soon.

Enjoy!

I had to stand on a little bridge to take this picture and since I'm afraid of heights, the combination of that and the fast cars speeding beneath me almost gave me a heart-attack. But i did it and it worked! YAY!  No heart-attacks for me yet! Mind over matter right? Yeeaahhh.
One of the views from the biking path we were walking on. Must be nice to have these views during your morning work out routine every day. :-)

Blogging...its a different kind of drug.

Its been almost a month since I've blogged?!? Holy shit! That must have been why i had the sweats and the shakes yesterday.

Blogging withdrawals.

It's a different kind of drug, you know. . . that good shit. Getting high off your thoughts as you write them down for yourself and anyone else to read. Putting yourself out there, it gets addicting. Combined with my personal addictive qualities and my families history with addiction, I'm hooked.

Well fellow bloggers, Its been so long because I've been busy making a photography website/blog.

My job sucks and I'm hoping i can make something out of this picture taking business. Why not make money doing something i do every day for free anyway? The only problem is, until i can get my own domain name im using wordpress. Wordpress and I haven't been on speaking terms in a while so I'm a little rusty and its taking longer than i thought to get my site up and working to my high standards. God damn themes don't want to cooperate with me!

Well here are some pictures from my party, i was a little drunk and forgot to break out the camera early. Unfortunately we have no pictures of lady gag gag all bloody and taped to the table but trust me, she was there!

Black light beer pong. I took this picture with my phone.

Best costume of the night! Next year I'm having a contest

I was trying to be a tiger. Not very scary.

Notice the unicorn horn in his mouth. He was practicing for later.

Fire!!!

Beer pong funnel that i never got to use.

The graveyard.

Some of the decorations

So that's the party if only you could have been there to get the full effect of how awesome it was. Between the punch bowl, Jello brain and all the jello shots my boyfriend was handing out I was feeling pretty damn good.
Now i will leave you with some pictures of a sunset. Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

The clouds are rolling in.

Lookin for the cruise ship

Clouds are rolling in

This is whats holding our lovely bridge together

So, this is pretty much what Ive been up to lately.

I have a chipped tooth and am to lazy to go to the dentist.

Hopefully ill go before it falls out.

I need to win the lottery so i can quit my job.

My boyfriend thinks i either broke or bruised his ribs, because we got into a heated wrestling match over the speed of light.
Don't be jealous of our nerd relationship.

And my head is pounding into my face right now with a fierce pain i cant even describe properly, so off i go into bed to catch up on some TV shows and hopefully pass right the fuck out.

Boston Skyline

My boyfriend and I decided to walk around last night and try out the night settings on my camera. We got a few okay ones, like the one below, nothing photographer worthy but we're working on it.

Getting this picture was kinda hard, i couldn't get my camera to focus for some reason and this was least blurry picture i had. Every time i would zoom in everything would turn black and it couldn't find anything to focus on with auto setting, and then when i would choose the manual setting i couldnt find the buildings to focus on while it was zoomed in because everything was black. Im sure i will get the hang of it sooner or later.

Anyone have any advice or suggestions i would love to hear from you! :-)

Keep crying and ill give you something to cry about...

My tear ducts have a mind of their own. Everyone gets emotional but i doubt many people start sobbing because they saw a comcast commercial and was touched that the little boy who couldn't read, can now learn how on his very own new and improved television cable box doohickey!!! Congratulations! I thought that was what school was for....hm.

I don't even know if there is really a commercial like that. I think I pulled it out of my ass, the story just felt right.

Any who,  I'm the only person i know who can't go an entire day without shedding an oceans worth of tears.

I am an extremely emotional girl, as you can tell I don't think most people cry over commercials. Unless its one of those animal cruelty ones with Sarah McLachlan's Angel playing in the background as you stare into this little puppies big, brown, sad, eyes..."In the arms of the angel, may you fiiiiiind soome comfoorrt therree." okay I'm going to cry just thinking about it. Lets change the subject.

Yesterday I watched that movie Soul Surfer, great movie by the way, and since i knew what the story was about, you know the girl gets her arm bit off by a shark and doesn't care so she becomes a pro surfer, before it had even begun i was crying.

Pathetic i know, its just so heartwarming.

What a brave girl going back into the water after being attacked by a shark. A fucking huge one for that matter, i think it was something like 16 feet long and 8 feet wide. I mean, holy shit! I wouldn't have had the courage to do it, fuck that, I like living i wouldn't chance death twice. But this girl, she didn't even care. As soon as she was out of the hospital she wanted to get back in the water, try surfing with one arm and she did it. Inspirational!

Waterworks might be coming back again.

I swear im not a  big baby, i can handle shit. Real people shit, life, etc. I just have to let out a good cry every now and then, or every day. Oh, and during that time of the month, forget it, i'll cry if i see two kids playing in the backyard because its cute. Dont judge me.

Its not only when im sad, touched or inspired. Its when i laugh as well.

Can you see how this might get confusing?

I'm sure you've heard people say "I laughed so hard that i cried". Well, for me, it only takes a giggle, one little "hehehaha" and the tears start pouring out (ruining my makeup i worked so hard on) and everyone who catches a glimpse of the line of tears streaming down my cheeks turns around and goes "Whats wrong? Everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything is great. Something was just funny. Don't mind me."

I wouldnt mind not having to pay extra for waterproof makeup since any other product wont last on my face an entire day.  I also wouldn't be upset if I could watch a commercial, a fucking commercial, without getting all choked up.

That's all i ask. I wonder if there is some kind of surgery i can have that will completely remove them, or some way they can hack into my brain and remove the part where i think shit is funny. That way i will only cry when something is sad or inspiring and not when my boyfriend tells a funny joke.

The beauty in a picture

So I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure i mentioned that my boyfriend finally bought that camera I've been talking about getting, a Nikon D5100. Ever since i opened the package I've been learning as much as I can, with the attention span i have, which is about zero.

I chose to watch the DVD because reading a manual is way to much work for my brain, it gets tired when there is to much thinking involved. I have medication for that, but it only works so well.

Any who...I live right by the water and being surrounded by so much beauty there is always a moment to stop and snap a photo. I've been trying to use as much time as possible for taking as many pictures as i have time for, playing around with as many camera functions i can remember learning about in the video.

So far my favorite is the selective color tool.

As i said, i am still learning so i'm sure ill find more settings and effects to play around with. If anyone is in the advice giving mood who is more skilled in photography than i am, i would love to hear from you!

To update you on my life, my godson came home with his mother today and i got snuggle him for a whole hour before i had to give him away to another visitor. He's the cutest little chunky peanut ever and is already so well behaved. While i was holding him he stared at me, eyes wide open for the first half hour and then passed out quietly in my arms while their dog rested his head on the babies belly looking at his new best friend.

You can already tell he is going to watch and make sure no harm comes to him, what a good pup.

I can't wait until he's old enough for me to teach him how to annoy his parents. I'm sure they're going to be sooo happy they chose me to be in there babies life for the rest of...well...ever. At least they know I'm going to shower him with love and that's all that matters.

Now i will leave you with some pictures i have taken with my brand new camera! :-)

A new life to bring happiness

With all the bad shit that has been going on in my life lately, its always good to have a moment to smile. Whenever I'm feeling down I've learned pretending to be happy eventually makes you feel happy, it doesn't hurt to have the actual boost though.

My godson was born September 15th at 3:04pm. He has all his fingers and toes, almost a full head of brown hair and the cutest wrinkly old man face you've ever seen. Unfortunately he had to be taken to the special care nursery, he was born with fluid in his lungs, however he is doing perfectly fine. They took him off all his IV's and he is eating well which means he should be in his mothers arms hopefully by tomorrow. Nothing like the birth of a new baby boy to put a smile on your face.

My lovely boyfriend also surprised me with that brand new camera I've been wanting for.

I am by no means a professional photographer and I'm still watching the DVD on how to work this new contraption but i cant wait to use it to take thousands of pictures of my new handsome friend.
